ApmeFX is a newly licensed broker by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). Its website still does not provide much information about the services that are going to be offered by the company, but the risk warning at the bottom suggests that it will offer trading in CFDs and FX. There is also a Social trading section on ApmeFX’s website.
Due to its quality business environment and regulatory framework that is MiFID-compliant and therefore allowing cross-border business activity in all EU member states, Cyprus has become one of the most popular destinations for forex and binary options brokers.
CySEC-licensed brokerages must meet a certain set of rules. They are required to hold at least €730 000 and maintain it, to report to the Commission on a regular basis and to keep client funds in segregated accounts, and also, to meet other obligations ensuing from local or EU regulations.
More importantly, clients of Cypriot brokerages can concentrate on trading with the security that their funds are safe, because all CySEC-regulated brokers are members of the Investor Compensation Fund. This fund is able to cover a maximum of 20,000 EUR per person in the event of broker insolvency.
ApmeFX says it supports the MetaTrader 4 platform, but when we clicked on the Download button, we actually got access to MetaTrader 5. Either way, we could not get the platform going, so we will keep an eye on this broker and update the review as soon as ApmeFX starts offering online trading services.
